Homemade Rose Water Toner for Sensitive Skin

Homemade Rose Water Toner for Sensitive Skin.

My Rose Water Facial Toner is amazing for Sensitive Skin, though it is gentle enough to be used on any skin type. This Toner does not contain harsh ingredients that may dry out your skin. It gently cleanses the skin while helping to restore the skins natural moisture and it's great for daily use.

We’ll need 100ml of Distilled Water, 100ml of Rose Water (or another hydrosol of your choice), 30ml of Aloe Gel, 4ml of Glycerin based Herbal Extracts with Antioxidant activity (like Pomegranate Peel Extract, Pine or Fir Needle Extracts) and I would like to add a little bit (2ml) of Alcohol based Extracts with Antiseptic properties, like Sage Leaf Extract, Plantain Leaf Extract, Thyme Leaf Extract or Calendula Fl. Extract...

I like using Organic Rose Water as a base for Toners. It's distilled from roses during extraction of Rose Essential Oil. This is the best base for Facial Toner. Rose Water has been using in beauty treatments for generations because of its refreshing, soothing, calming effects on the skin. As well it has a gentle anti-inflammatory effect. Rose Water can also reduce minor skin irritation and puffiness. Used straight , Rose Water is the amazing tonic for the nervous system.

Aloe Vera Gel is well known for its extremely moisturizing properties... But I've found out that over 30% can be sensitizing for my skin, so measure carefully!

The third ingredient will be Pine Needles Extract.
The clear extract of pine needles of the present invention has excellent anti-oxidation and anticancer activity, so that it can be effectively used for the preparation of health food having anticancer and anti-aging effect.

I've made a HotWater:Glycerin:Vodka (3:2:1) based Pine Needles Extract. Make sure that Pine Needles you are using for extraction are Free from Pesticides and Herbicides. We will need only 4ml (2%) for the Toner ...

The last ingredient will be Alcohol based Plantain Leaf Extract. It has a very delicate antiseptic and astringent effects on the skin. It contains Allantoin, which is an Anti-irritant and Anti-inflammatory element that protects skin 'by forming complexes with irritant and sensitizing agents"(from wiki). I have made this extract myself by using Vodka as a solvent... I will add just 1% (2ml) of this extract to my mixture.

Pour all ingredients into spray glass bottle and shake well.
Shelf Life: Two Weeks in refrigerator.

Now your Toner is ready to use !!!

I really like this formula, it gives your skin a very fresh feeling and also help to get rid of any dirt that is still present after cleansing... Hope you'll enjoy it:)

P.S. Please add the preservative of your choice to this product if you are keeping it out of the refrigerator .
P.P.S. It’s fine to get an Herbal Extract of Comfrey Root, it has a very gentle effect on the skin. If you have it, add to this Toner about 2ml. This it is the best source of Allantoin. I recommend using a ratio 1:5 of Hot Water and Vodka as a solvent...
P.P.S. You have to prepare these Herbal Extracts at least 3 weeks before using, keep them in a dark place at room temperature for 2 – 3 weeks and then storage in the refrigerator...
