Lush Inspired - Homemade Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter

Homemade Make Up Remover - Kukui Nut Cleansing Oil

Homemade Make Up Remover - Kukui Nut Cleansing Oil

All commercial Cleansing Oils are Oils (mineral or\and natural) combined with Emulsifier to clean the skin of dirt and impurities. The best for me was the green one from Shu Uemura, but very expensive too. I decided to try something different, less expensive and natural...
Most of us have heard of one natural cleansing method called The Oil Cleansing Method or "OCM" (using the combination of Extra Virgin Olive (EVOO) and Castor (CO) Oils as a Cleanser). I've tried it, unfortunately it... broke me out. So I've decided to add to my Cleansing Oil an Emulsifying Element to dissolve the oil when used with water.
I am so excited, because it works as good as those like Shu Uemura and does not break me out! It removes easily makeup and impurities. On contact with water, this cleansing oil transforms into creamy milk.

Homemade Thyme Leaf, Rosemary Leaf and Licorice Root Extracts

Last month I've made a research about "acne treatment" products and find out that many of them contain:

Thyme Leaf, Rosemary Leaf and Liquorice (Licorice) Root Extracts.

These herbs include essential oils, tannins, flavonoids, saponins, glycosides, phenolic compounds, polysaccharides and triterpenic acids, providing antibacterial and antiseptic action helping to heal the skin and protect skin from acne.
Most of these components can be extracted by Alcohol and Hot Water. The polysaccharide compounds need to be hot water extracted. The anti-inflammatory compounds (triterpenoids) can only be extracted by alcohol.
